Legacy Update

The Legacy Program in association with the Archaeological Institute of America’s (AIA) Southwest Texas Society has been selected as a recipient of the AIA’s Society Outreach Grant for the project “Title 1 Funding for In School Presentations.” This grant will allow Title 1 schools in the San Antonio area to bring archaeology into the classroom at no cost. Legacy 2015 Summer Camp: Mesoamerican Archaeology

Students will learn about ancient cultures like the Olmec, Aztec, Maya, and Mixtec. Each day includes topical presentations and supporting crafts and activities. The camp will explore Mesoamerican architecture, artwork, tombs, warfare, and more! Each day of camp is packed with presentations, hands-on activities, and imaginative crafts, so campers have fun while they’re learning!
